The overall goal of the project was: Developed organizational and institutional capacities of the civil society organizations and other stakeholders in the civil society.

orr101_copyThe objective of the project was: Reinforced human resources among the actors of CS in Macedonia.

The target group of the project was actors in the civil society, i.e. formal civil society organizations and networks as well as other stakeholders of the civil society (trade unions, religious communities and other).

The expected result of the project was: Trained representatives of the civil society organizations as well as other actors of the civil society.

The time period of the project implementation was March 1st – November 15th 2008.

The activities foreseen with this project were the following: Financial counsel to civil society organizations, Project management for maximum achievements, Public relations, Strategy for success, Management and development of human resources, Advanced management, Good governance/Management in civil society organizations, Financial management for beginners, Advocacy and lobbying.

During 2008, the following was realized: Financial counsel for CSOs, Public relations training, Strategy for success, Management and development of human resources.

Financial council of CSOs was held in the hotel Kontinental in Skopje whereat 36 representatives from various associations of citizens in Republic of Macedonia took part. Consultants at the council were: Roza Manevska from PRO, Aleksandar Buzarovski, independent consultant; Slavko Lazovski, Ministry of Finance and Nikolaki Miov, audit firm EFEKT PLUS, Skopje.
The public relations training was held from May 28th to May 31st in hotel Kontinental in Skopje. The training was conducted by Gonce Jakovleska and Gramoz Shabani from MCIC, whereat 8 representatives of various associations of citizens from Republic of Macedonia took part.

The training Strategy for success was held from June 5th to June 8th 2008 in hotel Garden in Ohrid. The training was conducted by Fatmir Bitiki from MCIC and Biljana Stevanovska, external trainer, whereat 13 representatives of various associations of citizens from Republic of Macedonia took part.

The training Management and human resources development took place from June 26th to June 28th in the hotel Belvedere in Ohrid. The training was conducted by Suncica Sazdovska from MCIC and Vesna Dimovska, external co-trainer, whereat 10 representatives of various associations of citizens from Republic of Macedonia took part.

Due to the small number of applied candidates, the following trainings did not take place: Project management for maximum achievements, Advanced management, Good governance/Management in civil society organizations, Financial management for beginners and Advocacy and lobbying.

In the framework of the activities related to public relations, all trainings were announced in public information editions, such as the newspapers Dnevnik, Vreme and Koha, information was uploaded in the web sites of MCIC www.gragjanskisvet.org.mk and www.mcms.org.mk. Also, the electronic network DATA BANK was used. Furthermore, MCIC promoted its trainings at the event Days of Education.

Gonce Jakovleska and Gramoz Shabani, project officers in the Information Department, produced stories/interviews regarding the participants, and the same were published on the MCIC' web site.

MCIC was responsible for the project implementation, narrative and financial reporting and auditing to its donor EED, according to the grant contract 2008-2010 (project no. 20070369G/2007.7580.9).

In order to evaluate the specificities of the conducted training in more accurate and concrete manner, evaluations were undertaken during the realization of the trainings, through the standard questionnaires. According to the date received from these questionnaires the participants assess the standard of the organization of the training as good. Such mark is also given regarding the competence and knowledge of the trainers. The clarity, comprehensiveness and benefits from the contents of the trainings were highly regarded.

The financial report of the project amounted to total of 887.867,00 MKD (direct costs).
